Robert J. Roberge passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert worked as a custodian at Peter Woodbury School in Bedford, NH for over two decades, where he was known for his quiet dedication, strong work ethic, and friendly presence in the halls. He took pride in his work and the community he served.
A humble man who valued the simple things in life, Robert found joy in spending time with his wife Ellie, cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams, watching classic TV shows, and caring for animals—especially his beloved cat, Bella.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ellie Roberge; his daughter Mary Rensma and her husband, Jansen; his two grandsons, Owen and Mason Rensma; his daughter, Tracey Roberge; his sister, Mary Ann Dostie, and her husband, Bruce; his brother, Francis Roberge; his sister, Patricia Healy; his brother-in-law, Sam Rath, and his wife Paula; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John “Sonny” Healy; his sister, Maureen (Bournival) Healy; and his brother, Paul Roberge.
Robert’s quiet strength, steady presence, and dry sense of humor will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. In honoring his life, we remember a man who didn’t need much to be content—just family, a good game on TV, and the love of those around him.
