Robert W. Minkler, 84, of Goffstown, died March 20, 2005 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born in Grandville, VT on October 19, 1920, the son of Robert E. and Lulu (Turner) Minkler. He had been a painter for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing. He was the widow of Bertha (Taylor) Minkler. He was also predeceased by a step-son, Clarence Phil Shatney and by a step-daughter, Shirley Glaude. Family members include three sisters, Arlene Forbes, Roberta Brown and Doris Reed, all of Dale City, FL., three step-sons, Clyde Shatney of Brattleboro, VT, David Shatney of Goffstown and Gordon Shatney of Adams, NY; several grandchildren; and numerous nephews, and nieces. Per Mr. Minklers request, there are no scheduled services. After cremation, urn burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Morningside Cemetery, Brattleboro, VT. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Patient Fund, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
