Robert L. Sage, 65 of 4 Lubern Avenue, Allenstown, New Hampshire, formerly of Batavia, New York, died December 25, 2008 at the Concord Hospital, Concord NH, after a long period of failing health. Bob was born June 25, 1943 to Leslie J. Sage and Ermogene (Streeter) Sage of Batavia, New York where he grew up, attended schools and graduated from Batavia High School in 1961. After graduation Bob went to work at Sleights Bookstore until 1972 when he and his family moved to Tilton New Hampshire. Bob worked for the former Crane House, and Laconia Office Supply in Laconia, NH where he repaired typewriters. He went to work for Gilmore Office Products where he spent many years as Vice President and Office Manager. After leaving Gilmore's in 1991, he worked for Wal-Mart and Staples in Tilton. He moved to Laconia, NH in 1991, then Allenstown, NH in 2005 and retired in August of 2006. Bob was a jovial person who had a quick whit and loved a good joke. He was an avid Nascar fan, always watching the races from the comfort of his home, with his family. In his earlier years, he enjoyed many weekend fishing trips with his buddies, and was often seen washing and waxing his cars in the driveway. Bob was predeceased by his father, Leslie J. Sage, who died June 25, 1971.Bob is survived by his wife Marlene A. Sage of Allenstown, two sons, Jeffery S. Sage of Littleton, NH, and Brian R. Sage of Tilton, NH, two step sons, Gary B. Morel of Northfield, NH and Daniel S. Morel of Laconia, NH, his mother Ermogene Sage of Batavia, New York, a brother John L.Sage and his wife Ruby, both of Chiefland Florida, an aunt and uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
