Robert "Bob" Wayne Sarno, 62, of Hudson died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 following a courageous six-month battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
He was born March 15th,1959 in Boston, MA, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Sarno. Bob resided in Hudson with his wife, the love of his life, Karen. They were madly in love and together for over 40 years. He graduated from Alvirne High School in 1977 and immediately enlisted in the Navy where he spent 4 years serving out of Norfolk VA on the USS Samuel Eliot Morison, acting as a firefighter and welder. After returning home from service, he worked as a machinist first at Teradyne in Nashua and most recently at Omni in Hudson.
Bob was the epitome of a giving person, continually doing for others. He was loved dearly by many, including the love of his life Karen, his three daughters, two grandsons and his large family. He loved his family, the Boston Bruins, Pink Floyd, gardening, and building in his workshop. He had a great sense of humor and was always laughing and joking with everyone.
Survivors include his wife Karen Sarno of Hudson, his daughter Angela Sarno of Watertown, his daughter and son-in-law Kayla Sarno and Alex Lebrun of Hudson, his daughter and son-in-law Shaela and Dustin Skinner of Hampton, VA, as well as his grandsons Christian and Dylan, and his five siblings Anthony, Mary, Laura, Eric, and Gilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 11th from 5-7pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Memorial Service will follow at 7pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
