Robert Hasbrouck Stewart

Robert (Bob) Hasbrouck Stewart, 93, of Merrimack, NH died peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 at The Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born on April 27, 1928 to Clarence and Edith Stewart. He was graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. Upon graduation, he entered the Navy’s V-5 training program at Duke University and later graduated from Rutgers University.

Bob began his career as a Finance Manager at American Can Company which was later acquired by James River Corporation and was employed with them for forty years. He was an avid bridge player and had a keen sense of humor.

Family members include his beloved wife of 66 years, Doris Stewart, his children, Mark Stewart of Atlanta, GA, Holly McCarty and her husband Don of Nashua, NH, and Jean Lee of Rumson, NJ. He was very proud of his grandchildren, Ryan (MD) and Ian McCarty and his wife Michelle, Campbell, Jack and Abigail Lee.

The family wishes to sincerely thank The Community Hospice House for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to The Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.
