Robert “Bobby” David Tarpy Jr., 73, passed away on March 30, 2026. He was born in Biddeford, Maine, to Robert David Tarpy Sr. and Cecile Morel Tarpy Adcock.
Bobby had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed skiing, hiking, and spending time at his beloved camp in Maine. He held special memories of both camp and Kennebunk Pond from his childhood, where he learned to swim with his siblings, spent countless hours playing, and loved diving off the rock. As an adult, he returned there and lived for several years, continuing to cherish those meaningful connections.
He found great joy in making others smile and was known for his sense of humor and ability to bring laughter to those around him. He also dedicated time to teaching individuals with disabilities how to ski, an experience that meant a great deal to him. He enjoyed simple pleasures, including trips to Rapid Ray’s for hot dogs and playing games like Yahtzee and cribbage.
Bobby worked at Data General in Massachusetts for many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed working at Jackson’s Corner Store, where he valued the connections he made with the community.
He was predeceased by his father, mother, stepfather Kenneth Adcock, and his brother, Michael.
Bobby is survived by his sister, Maureen Tarpy; his brother, Kenneth Adcock (Sherri); his sister-in-law, Joyce Tarpy; and his nieces and nephews: Kirk Tarpy, Kerri LeSieur, Danny, Molly, Mark, and Mandy Adcock.
