Robert E. Taylor, 63, of Nashua died unexpectedly December 24, 2006 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. Robert was born on March 4, 1943 in Fort Fairfield, Maine the son of Omer and Pauline Couture. He was employed at Beebe Rubber in Nashua for several years before he established himself at Nashua Corporation in Merrimack where he was known as the best coating machine operator they have ever had. He took pride in being able to fix even the most difficult of machines. He retired after a fulfilling 30-year career with Nashua Corporation only several years ago. He enjoyed trout fishing in Alton Bay as well as in the Nashua River, which ran through his backyard at his former residence in Nashua. During Roberts retirement, he enjoyed spending time at he Nashua Senior Center playing Bingo with his friends. He was also a member of the Senior Center Bowling League. He had a gift for telling jokes and had a great sense of humor. He relished in putting smiles on the faces of his friends and even strangers. He was an extremely considerate man who forever had a helping hand. He and his wife recently moved to Streeter Shores in Nashua where Bob in no time found time to do puzzles with his new neighbors. Family members include; his wife of 16 years, Sharon; daughter, Allison Fieldsend and her husband, David of Rochester; two step-daughters, Deborah L. Martin and her husband, Gary of Sandown and Shelly Noorigan of Nashua; one step granddaughter, Stephanie Scooter Elizabeth Martin; three brothers, Donald Couture of Nashua and Omer Couture and Percy Couture both of Florida; four sisters, Diane Fredette, Linda Nunn, Marlene Taylor and Carlene Thompson all of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 14th at 2:00 PM at Streeter Shores, 76 Temple Street in Nashua. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
