Robert W. Flynn

Robert W. Flynn, 80, of Dalton, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2023. He was born on October 29, 1943, in Queens, NY. Robert was a loving husband to Evelyn Flynn and a devoted father to his sons, Sean, and Mark. He cherished his daughters-in-law Terry and Nancy, grandchildren Jack, Mary Grace, Molly, and his grand puppy Winston.

Throughout his life, Robert had a successful career as an engineer. He was known for his expertise and dedication in his field. In the 1970’s he built a home in Kerhonkson, NY which they lived in until the late 1990’s when he and Evelyn decided to move closer to their sailboat so they could spend any free time on the water. Robert's passion for sailing brought him much joy whether it was teaching others how to sail on the Hudson River or going with Evelyn and friends on their many trips to the Caribbean. He spent many happy hours on the water and after moving to Northern New Hampshire, he shifted his enthusiasm to his artwork which proudly hangs on his family’s walls.

His memory, big laugh, and eagerness for any adventure will be missed by his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Winston will certainly miss his never-ending supply of peanut butter-filled pretzels.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Robert's life. Robert’s wish was that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his honor.
