Robert L. Weeks, Sr., 67, of Danbury, NH died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at Franklin Hospital. He was born May 12, 1935 in Warren, NH the son of Henry E. and Jesse M. (Spencer) Weeks and was married on January 3, 1958 to Mary Thornton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. Mr. Weeks served in the Air Force during Vietnam and retired from the U.S. Army National Guard with 23 years of service. He spent many years as a heavy equipment operator and road agent. Most recently, he helped his son operate Smith River Trading Post in Danbury. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Mary (Thornton) Weeks of Danbury, a son Robert Weeks, Jr. of Enfield; three daughters, Cynthia Gemmell of Miami, Arizona; Julia Weeks of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Martha Weeks of Savannah, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; a brother, David Weeks of Concord; two sisters, Ida Shontell and Helen Weeks of Alamosa, Colorado; and nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother, Henry Weeks of Rumney, predeceased him. At Mr. Weeks' request, there will be no calling hours or memorial services. Memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, North Hartland Road, White River Junction, VT 05001. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
