Roberta W. Macaulay

Roberta W (Esdale) Macaulay of Danville, New Hampshire passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Roberta was born in Chelsea Massachusetts, the daughter of Ernest and Florence (Smith) Esdale. Roberta graduated from Saugus High School, Class of 1950. Following graduation, she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse at Melrose Hospital and went on to have a long, successful career in nursing.

She married James Macaulay and settled in Middleton, Massachusetts where she raised her three children. Roberta and James celebrated 64 years of marriage in August. Roberta was an active member of Middleton Congregational Church. She enjoyed cooking and traveling with her Family. Her soft voice and pleasant manner left a lasting impression on everyone that met her.

Roberta is survived by her husband James; her daughters Janice Macaulay, Caroline and her husband Domenic DiPasquale; her son James Macaulay Jr and his wife Ilze; and 5 grandchildren; Vanessa Healy, Shawn Healy, Brian Healy, Nicholas DiPasquale and Thomas DiPasquale.
