Roberta Rose Parent, 56, of Manchester died May 22, 2003 at the Elliott Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Manchester on March 1, 1947, the daughter of Robert and Evelyn (Girard) Parent and had been a Manchester resident most of her life. She was a 1965 graduate of Memorial High School and Houle's Beauty Academy. Before her retirement she worked for over fifteen years for Armtec Industries in Manchester. She enjoyed cheering for the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics, as well as spending time at Hampton Beach. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Jacquelyn Martin. She is survived by her nieces, Kelly Martin-Baker of East Rochester, NH and Vicki L. Martin of Concord, NH; and her nephew Robert B. Martin of Allenstown; her step-mother, Helen Parent of Manchester; 3 grand-nieces; two cousins and her life long best friend, Patricia Walker of Brentwood.
