Roderick D. Haley

Roderick Dean Haley, 69, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2024. Born in Milton, MA, to the late Kenneth and Irma Haley, Rod grew up in Braintree alongside his siblings Sharon, Melody, and late brother Dennis. He graduated from Braintree High School and was an alumnus of Babson College. The family enjoyed many summers on Berry Bay and Lake Winnipesaukee.

Rod was a family man, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He and his wife Lisa were married for 38 loving years and raised four children in Manchester, NH. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for skiing at Ragged Mountain, camping adventures, and the joy he found in spending quality time by the lake, ocean, and pool with his family. Rod enjoyed a quiet morning crossword and was a lover of puzzles and games. He appreciated a good joke and made sure to share his humor with everyone he knew.

Known for his quiet nature, hard-working spirit, quick-witted humor, and generous heart, Rod had a special gift for welcoming everyone into his home with a friendly smile and a kind word. His loss will be deeply felt by his family and all fortunate enough to have known him.

Rod is survived by his wife Lisa, children Paul, Megan, Sara, and Kelsey, son-in-law Corey Hill, and grandson Carter, as well as his sisters Melody Kohler and Sharon and Dick Shetler, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will honor Rod with a Celebration of Life on August 4, 2024, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM at the Hill Bar and Grille (McIntyre), 50 Chalet Way, Manchester, NH 03104.
