Rodney I. Robinson

Rodney Inman Robinson also known as “Joe” to friends and family, 84, passed away in his sleep at his home on 01/13/2025.

Born in Berlin, NH on 03/05/1940, he was the son of Julius and Mabel (Inman) Robinson. He lived in Lockes Mill, ME. In 1950 the family moved to Manchester, NH.

Rodney served in United States Army (1958) and was Honorably Discharged (1959) with a service-connected disability. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veteran (DAV).

Rodney worked at Anchor Electric (27 years) in Manchester, NH. He also worked at Walmart Distribution Center (11 years) in Raymond, NH.

He spent a lot of time at Lambert’s Junkyard in Hooksett, NH. If someone needed a part for a car, they would call him with the information and within a day they would have it. He was a very proficient mechanic, and often helped others putting in, or taking out, an engine or transmission.

Those that knew Rodney in his younger days, knew he had a habit of destroying cars. He often said he was surprised that he lived through those accidents.

Rodney also had a mischievous smile that many of his friends would remember. This would often get him into trouble with authorities and others.

Rodney was a great fan of NASCAR racing, and never missed a chance to watch a race, either in person or on TV.

Family members include his daughters: Lynn Newman of New Port Richey, FL.; Lee-Ann Dauble and her husband, Phillip of Leesburg, FL, a son, Michael Robinson of Manchester NH. Also, his brother Dale Robinson and his wife, Brenda, of New Boston, NH; Six grandchildren: Matthew Newman, Kristopher Dauble, Lauren and Jessica Robinson, and Brooke Robinson.
