Roger E. Bersaw, 78, of Franklin, New Hampshire, passed away on June 4, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Roger was born in Franklin on July 15, 1947, to Alfred and Anita Bersaw. The family moved to Concord, NH for a short time and then returned to Franklin, NH. It is here, where he attended most of his schooling and enjoyed playing football for Franklin High School.

As a young adult Roger could be found helping on the Moses family dairy, known as Hillside Farm, in Sanbornton which belonged to his wife’s family. On October 21, 1972, Roger married the love of his life, Holly A. (Moses) Bersaw. Together, they shared 53 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, hard work, and the outdoors.

Throughout his career, Roger worked for several area employers, including Pike Industries, Polyclad, and part-time for Albert Morang & Sons. He would retire from Warner Power in 2009. He was known for his strong work ethic, willingness to lend a hand, and dedication to helping his community.

Roger enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and interests throughout his life. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, skiing, swimming, ice skating, maple sugaring, woodworking, and collecting antique tractors. He was particularly passionate about archery, crafting his own traditional recurve and longbows and traveling throughout the Northeast to compete in 3D archery shoots.

Roger deeply enjoyed spending time on New Hampshire’s lakes with his family. Some of his happiest moments were spent boating with Holly, his children, and especially his grandchildren, Abigail and Riley. He also enjoyed attending New Hampshire fairs to watch his children show dairy cattle. Whether on the water, in the woods, or gathered with family, those times together meant the most to him.

Roger belonged to the Arch Chapter camping group and was a longtime member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed giving back by participating in the Easter Seals Ride-In.

Many friends knew Roger as a familiar face at the Crossroads Country Store in Salisbury, where he could often be found sharing stories and visiting with friends over morning coffee.

Above all else, Roger valued his family. Whether supporting his children, helping relatives and friends, or spending time with his grandchildren, family always came first.

Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Holly A. Bersaw; daughter Michelle Bersaw-Robblee, son in law Matthew Robblee and beloved grandchildren, Abigail and Riley; his son, Shawn Bersaw and daughter in law Jill Dumont-Bersaw; sister, Gloria DiNofa; brother-in-law, David Cook; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Roger is predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Anita Bersaw, sister, Helen Cook; and brother-in law Americo DiNofa.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Pavilion of The John Hay Estate at The Fells, 456 Route 103A, Newbury, New Hampshire.
