Roger L. Comire

Roger Louis Comire, 83, of Bedford, New Hampshire, passed away on November 3rd, 2022, after suffering a long battle with complications from diabetes.

Roger was born in Manchester, NH on December 25, 1938, to Roger G. Comire and Violet Hebert.

He valiantly served his country to defend our freedom in the United States Army. He was a public servant and dedicated his life as a fireman and EMT to the health and safety of strangers. He ran into burning buildings without hesitation to help those in danger and anyone who needed a hand.

Roger was the husband of Brenda Comire. They were married on June 24, 1961, and enjoyed 61 happy years together. Their fondest memories were traveling throughout the United States (even Alaska!) in their RV and meeting many friends along the way.

He was a man of faith, and a devout Catholic throughout his life. He served as a Eucharistic Minister and loved his church community. Roger enjoyed music and sang in a choir. He loved to bicycle and play bingo.

Roger was outgoing, gregarious, and incredibly funny! He was always the life of the party and was a shining light with a sparkle in his eye and a mischievous grin. All who knew him loved him.

Roger was predeceased by his parents, Roger G. Comire and Violet Hebert, his stepmother, Alice Comire, and his sister Lorraine Baussmann. He is survived by his wife, J. Brenda Comire, and his two daughters, Lisa Sciamanna and husband Paul Sciamanna and Shari Comire-Haghdan and husband Al Haghdan. In addition are his four grandchildren Jen Donohue and husband Brian Donohue, Julie Sciamanna, Katie Haghdan and Kristina Haghdan who fondly called him “Baba”, plus his sister, Constance Pepin and husband Joseph Pepin, his Aunt Julie Guevin and numerous nieces and nephews.
