Roger A. Pepin, commonly known as “Pep”, of Concord, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife of 16+ years, Cindy L. Pepin, and two of his daughters, following a brief illness. He was born and raised in Manchester, NH son of Lionel and Beatrice (Gonthier) Pepin, and later Regina (Boucher) Pepin; all of whom predeceased him.
He leaves behind his wife of 16+ years, Cindy L. (Perrine-Spyropoulos) Pepin of Concord, NH, and his ex-wife, Elaine (Petrin) Moriglioni of Port Charlotte, FL; two brothers, Andre “Andy” and his wife Lorie of Candia, NH and Armand and his wife Laurie of Hooksett, NH. He also leaves two sisters, Terry Montminy of Londonderry, NH and Rita Huot of Allenstown, NH and was predeceased by his sister, Claire Huot of Manchester, NH.
He was a beloved and devoted father not only to his two daughters, Heather B. Foster (husband Todd) of Manchester, NH and HollyAnn (Caron) Reyes (husband Rey) of Goffstown, NH but also to his step-daughters Janet Spyropoulos of Manchester, NH; Nicole (Spyropoulos) Lang of Pinardville, NH and Mary (Spyropoulos) Beaudoin (husband Jeremy) of Goffstown, NH and Elene (Spyropoulos) Pierce (husband, Nick) of Haverhill, MA. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, each of whom he loved dearly, and was incredibly proud of; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Employed in the food service industry for nearly 50 years, he worked at Interstate Restaurant Equipment, Manchester, NH; Northeast Foodservice Equipment, later bought out by Kitteridge Equipment in Bow, NH; and eventually worked at Sam’s Club, Concord, NH in the maintenance and janitorial department, which gave him pride and a sense of purpose, and was loved and respected by the Sam’s Club family.
Pep’s favorite times of his life, other than when with family, included serving in the US Navy, on the Josephus Daniels, including a couple of Mediterranean tours. Although he personally felt that the home he purchased in Goffstown, NH after returning from the military, and adding several rooms as his legacy; those left behind realize it is the love and laughter that he shared; the support he provided to everyone, always willing to lend a hand or offer encouragement; and the numerous memories impressed upon our hearts. He will be forever remembered and missed.
Pep attended Hope Community Church of Concord, NH; and was baptized at Next Level Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in his memory, at Hope Community Church, Concord, NH (myhc.church) or the Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital. Pep was very practical, and would rather know that money spent on flowers, which are appreciated, but temporary, could be invested in his church and bring people to Jesus or provided to Payson to help others battle cancer. The family is appreciative of the compassionate care received at the Payson Center, Concord Hospital and briefly by the Hospice House.
Per Pep’s wishes, there will be no viewing or wake; to “keep it simple”. Graveside services to be performed, with military honors at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH Monday 8/14 at 9:00 am.
