Roger Lee Wood, 71, passed away on Thursday January 29, 2026, surrounded by his kids. He was born on January 25, 1955, in Pembroke, MA, the son of Russell and Jessie Wood.
Roger worked many years on and off in the woods for Lecheval logging. He commercial fished with the crew from the ‘Andrea Gail’ for 10 years. Their boat back then was called the Lynnia Sea. When he came home to Lancaster, he started his own business, Roger’s Sand Blasting and Painting; no job was too big or too small; up until he retired.
He loved fishing, deer hunting, tinkering on cars and trucks; he could fabricate anything his wild imagination could dream up, he loved his torches and welder. He loved to tend to his garden that he would make as big as he possibly could every year. He enjoyed going to our local fairs and watching the horse pulls and truck pulls. He also loved teaching his granddaughter to ride her 4-wheeler. He built his mud truck “The Bad Toad” with his two kids and granddaughter. Nothing put a bigger smile on his face than watching his kids drive his mud truck.
He was predeceased by his father Russell Wood and brothers Al Wood and Allen Wood.
He is survived by his mother Jessie Wood, daughter Taysia Wood and partner Chris Grey and granddaughter Kileigh Reynolds, son Trevor Wood, daughter-in-law Brittany Wood and soon-to-be granddaughter, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
