Roland N. Clark, 53, of 3 Franklin Street, Lebanon died on August 14, 2000 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Clark was born on June 13, 1947 in Hanover, NH the son of the late Elwin and Constance (Barnett Merrihew) Clark. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1967 and married Sheila Day on July 25, 1970. Mr. Clark was employed at Dartmouth College for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and watching movies. His biggest joys in life were his children and grandchildren. Family members include; his wife of 30 years, Sheila (Day) Clark; two daughters, Angela Wright of Orange, NH and Amy Clark of Lebanon; three grandchildren; three brothers, Timothy Merrihew, Dennis Merrihew and Elwyn ''Gig'' Clark all of Lebanon; two sisters, Jane Smardon of Enfield and Joyce Ford of Lebanon; one stepsister Carol Perkins of Tunbridge, VT; several nieces or nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter and brother, Bruce Clark. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2000 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, School Street, Lebanon with Rev. Dale Edwards officiating. Burial will follow Lakeview Cemetery in Enfield.
