Roland A. Duval, Sr., 81, of Nashua, devoted husband of the late Cecile Y. (Dichard) Duval, passed away on July 24, 2024 in Windham, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Nashua, he was the son of the late Henri and Fleurange (Forcier) Duval. Raised and educated in Nashua, he was graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1961. Prior to retirement, Roland had been employed at 20th Century Stores for 15 years and, most recently, at Frito-Lay Inc. for over 30 years.
A dedicated husband and father, Roland was the pillar of strength for his family. Devoted to his family, Roland cherished the company of his children and grandchildren. His greatest joy was to be a Pepere. In his spare time, Roland enjoyed bowling, watching Nascar, the Bruins and the Patriots, and playing cards, especially hand and foot and canasta. Roland fondly recalled family memories of day trips to the beach, local stock car races, and the quality time spent at their camp on the Lamprey River in Lee, NH. A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Roland is survived by his two daughters, Angela Savard and husband Michael, LeAnne Gaudio and husband Matthew; his son, Roland Duval, Jr. and wife Stephanie; his 8 doting grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, and Joey Savard, Cooper Gaudio, Bryce, Austyn, Hunter, and Mason Duval; his brothers, Eugene Duval and Lucille, and Lucien Duval and wife Dianne; several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brothers, Henri and Paul, and sister Lorraine.
