Roland Patrick Labbe

Roland Patrick Labbe of Hudson, NH, passed away on December 18th. He was born on March 16th, 1932 in Fitchburg, MA, son of Oscar R. Labbe and Alida Leger.

Roland worked as a Salesman in many capacities most of his life. He quit school in the 7th grade to work. He went on to get his GED and got training @ Sylvania Tech. Roland had many interests, flying Airplanes was his passion. He also built & flew large remote-control airplanes, learned Morse Code, and owned & operated Ham equipment. He painted several beautiful pieces of art that we have hanging in our home. He loved fishing with family members and enjoyed going to the shooting range. He enjoyed watching sports, although his favorites were Baseball (Red Sox) and Boxing. Roland loved life and although he was born with dislocated hips, was hospitalized 8 years of his childhood, survived melanoma in his eye & prostate cancer, he never let anything keep him down. He loved trying new things and loved traveling to see family & friends. His favorite vacation spot was Aruba. He was truly amazing! He was extremely intelligent, for not furthering his formal education. He kept in shape by doing pushups daily. He had a fantastic memory until his illness gradually took it away.
May he rest in peace.
