Roland Marcel Laprise

Roland Marcel Laprise, 89, of Manchester, NH, passed away on January 13, 2024. Born in Quebec, Canada on June 24, 1934, he was a son of the late Wellie and Elmina Laprise. He shared over 60 years of marriage with his late wife, Yolande Laprise.

Roland spent his childhood and younger years in Quebec before moving to Stonington, ME in the early 1960’s. Roland and Yolande raised their family in Manchester, NH. He had a long career working in the granite industry as superintendent at Barretto Granite. Roland was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved to spend time exploring and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed doing projects around the house. After retirement, he and Yolande loved their winters spent in Florida and summers spent at their camp at Northwood Lake. In his spare time, Roland participated in a bowling league and enjoyed beating his family members at his favorite board game, Tock.

Roland is survived by his children, Serge Laprise of Epping and Marc Laprise of Manchester; grandchildren, Deanna Lockwood, Amanda Woods, Troy, Kyle, Ryan, Paige, Dylan, Andrew, and Ambre Laprise; great grandchildren, Axel, Cooper, Isabelle, Colin, and Camden; and daughters-in-law, Wanda Laprise, Nicole Laprise, Lucie Laprise, and Helen Laprise.

Roland is preceded in death by his wife, Yolande Laprise; his sons, Bruno and Tony Laprise; granddaughters, Sheanna and Tanya Laprise; siblings, Rene, Bertrand, Gerard, Clement, Yvette, Laurentia and Merilee Laprise; and his parents, Wellie and Elmina Laprise.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, February 4^th from 10AM-12PM at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Memorial Service will follow at 12PM in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
