Ronald P. Bernard Sr, cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with COPD and emphysema. Born on December 28, 1954, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Ron was the beloved son of the late Roger and Teresa Bernard. He was predeceased by his granddaughter,Ashley Savage, dear sister, Priscilla Corcoran, and his son, Ronald Bernard Jr.

Ron was a beacon of warmth and humor, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood and a kind word to make everyone feel welcome. His laughter and love were the pillars upon which his family stood. Those who had the privilege of knowing Ron will remember him as an exceptionally lovable and kind individual with an unparalleled gift for making others feel at home.

In 1975, Ron married the love of his life, Sharon Foote, in their hometown of Nashua, New Hampshire. Together, they created a beautiful life, celebrating 51 years of marriage and raising three wonderful children. His legacy of love and laughter continues through his surviving family: his devoted wife Sharon, his daughter Amy and son in law Dennis Chaisson, Daughter in law Sarah Bernard, and his son Phillip Bernard. Ron was the proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren—Alicia, Courtney, Brianna,Maddison, Samantha, Jason, Breanna, Chase, Jacob, Phillip, Isabelle, and Ryan—and four great-grandchildren—Jaxon, Emmelia, Macie, and Avianna— each of whom adored their "grandpa” dearly.

Ron attended Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for sports, particularly the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. An avid sports fan, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. His passion for life extended beyond sports; he cherished every moment spent with his family, whether through camping trips, days at the beach, or simply capturing memories through his beloved photography.

Ron found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching wrestling with his great-grandson and sharing stories that brought smiles to those around him. His gentle spirit and infectious humor left a profound impact on everyone he met.

In addition to his immediate family, Ron is survived by his brothers, John Bernard and Leo, Bernard and many aunts and uncles who will miss his companionship and laughter

A private ceremony will be held to honor Ron's life, allowing his family to reflect on the wonderful memories they shared with him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Ron's memory to a charity of your choice that supports those battling COPD and Emphysema.

Though Ron's physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH.
