Ronald D. Stokes, age 69, of Hillsboro, NH, passed away on January 29, 2026. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for and caring for his family. Ronald worked two jobs—at Fletcher Granite and Broadway Pizza—demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to those he loved.
Ronald was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Lori Stokes, and a proud father of eight children. He cherished his family deeply and valued time spent together above all else.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Lori Stokes; his children and stepchildren: Kimberly Quealy and her husband, John, of Litchfield, NH; stepson Edward Skipper of Hillsboro, NH; Nancy Grimes and her husband, Greg, of Hillsboro, NH; Ronald A. Stokes and his wife, Bev, of Rochester, NH; Douglas Stokes and his wife, Heather, of Olive Hill, KY; and Carrie Hibbard/Stokes and her fiancé, Douglas, of Bennington, NH. He is also survived by Kim Regan, who was the fiancé of his predeceased son, John Stokes; his brother, John Stokes of Lowell, MA, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ronald was predeceased by his son, John Stokes, and his stepson, Scott Skipper.
Ronald passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, family member, and friend whose presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him.
He will be remembered for his generous heart, steady guidance, and unwavering support. Ronald valued family above all else and cherished both the big moments and the quiet, everyday memories that will now be held close forever.
Ronald D. Stokes will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Nashua. In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in the late spring.
