Ronald (Ron) Albert Tardiff, 78, of Manchester, NH passed away after a period of declining health on April 15, 2021. Born in Concord, NH on February 13, 1943, he was the son of late Albert and Lorena (Cote) Tardiff. He shared over 51 years of marriage with his loving wife, Mary (Szopa) Tardiff.
Ron attended Manchester Central High School. He then served in the Air Force from Feb 14, 1964 to September 13, 1967. Not long after being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Ron began a 37-year career as a Microbiologist at the Elliot Hospital.
Ron was a long-standing member of The American Legion where he held office as Jr. Vice and Sr. Vice Commander; District 4 Commander and was Department Chair of the Scholarship Committee for several years. He was also a Supporter of the American Legion Riders Chapter #2, Manchester.
Ron is survived by his wife, Mary (Szopa) Tardiff of Manchester; his daughter, Barbara (Barbie) Tardiff of Lynn MA; his son, Jason Tardiff and wife Teresa of Allenstown; his daughter, Stephanie Tardiff and fiancé Justin of Goffstown; his son-in-law Peter Barry of Lynn, MA; his sister-in-law, Barbara Tardiff; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Peter Jr., Chris, Brandon, Tyler, Olivia, Nicole and Camden; three great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Ron was predeceased by his father, Albert Tardiff; mother, Lorena (Cote) Tardiff; brother, Richard Tardiff; sister, Beverly (Tardiff) Gerbert and daughter Susan (Tardiff) Barry.
Burial with military honors will take place Friday, April 23, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ron's memory to: The American Legion Riders, Chapter #2, 251 Maple Street, Manchester, NH 03103. These contributions will be used to assist veterans in need.
