Rosaria Theresa Bowler, who liked to be called Terry, died peacefully at the home she shared with her family on April 21, 2016. 92 years of age, she embraced hospice care rather that pursuing aggressive care for the devastating diagnosis of pancreas cancer. She lived a joyous and full life and she was certain of her heavenly destination when she died.
She was born on November 2, 1923, in Massachusetts. Her legacy is her loving family she raised with her husband of 62 years, Raymond Bowler Sr., who predeceased her in 2014.
Her great glory was the roles of mother and grandmother to her three children and three grandchildren. At her side when she passed from this live to heaven were her children. Mary (Bowler) of Salem, NH, Carol Nixon of Littleton, MA, and Raymond Bowler II of Littleton, NH.
She truly adored her granddaughters, Amy Budge, Courtney Bowler, and Ashley Bowler. She remained close with her husband's family: from Greenville, SC, nieces and nephew, Karen Burkes, Beth Smith, and Joseph Bowler III, and their spouses and children. Longtime friend and her husband's cousin, Carol Perry, and her daughters, also remain close. Her extensive family of cousins spread from Boston to California, Florida and New Hampshire. She collected good friends everywhere she lived, worked, and worshiped.
Her life story began in neighborhoods on the north side of Boston. Her parents, Rosaria (Carcione) and Carl Famulari, were new citizens of the United States. Her mother tragically died during childbirth and Terry was initially raised by her grandparents. Her cousins and her dear aunt, Michelina, were her earliest playmates. Italian was the only language she knew until she entered school. Carl remarried and the family re united with new wife, Grace Margaret, and grew with two more children: Dominic and Clarafi.
