Roselinda Dorothy McGonagle, 83, of Hollis, NH, passed away on July 17, 2023 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Born on February 19, 1940 in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late Salvitore and Ermalinda (Mautone) Serrago. She shared nearly 60 years of marriage with her late husband, Dr. Arthur McGonagle.

Roselinda was raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the Knickerbocker Village. Her family owned a pastry shop and she had fond memories of riding her tricycle around the shop at a young age. She graduated high school from the St. Lawrence Academy for Young Women. During her time in New York City, she indulged in the city’s vibrant culture, relishing Broadway shows and movie outings. Roselinda pursued higher education at Fordham University, where she delved into the world of pharmacy, and graduated in 1961. While working as a pharmacist at Bellevue Hospital in New York, where she met Dr. Arthur McGonagle. They were married on July 1, 1962 in Manhattan. Settling in New Hampshire, they decided to embrace the beauty of life, with Roselinda transitioning from her career to devote herself fully to her role as a loving homemaker and to care for their son, Arthur McGonagle III.

Roselinda and Arthur shared a love for travel, and together they explored more than 30 countries. She enjoyed holidays with her family, especially Christmas, and always planned the next one as soon as it was over. She cherished time spent with her family during family movie night and watching her family cook. A woman of many talents, Roselinda's passions extended far beyond her professional and family life. She was a tennis champion, a masterful piano player, an avid swimmer, and a collector of antiques. Her culinary expertise was unmatched, as she delighted her loved ones with delicious meals and treats. Her love for animals was evident through the years, as she nurtured and cherished her cats and dogs, bringing comfort and companionship to her home. Roselinda cherished her friendships and enjoyed her ladies’ group luncheons and spending time at the Hampshire Hills Country Club. Among the treasured memories held dear by her family, the annual vacations at the lake house in Rindge, NH, stand out as moments of joy, laughter, and togetherness.

Roselinda is survived by her son, Arthur McGonagle III, and her grandsons, Arthur McGonagle IV and Shane McGonagle.
