Ross Marple was born Feb 22nd and died prematurely at age 62 on May 12, 2026.

A truly gorgeous baby with lots of pale blond hair and wide blue eyes, Ross was the 2nd child and only son of Arthur Richard Marple and Louise (Wheeler) Marple.

He grew up in Hooksett, reaching 6'5" tall. Best buds in high school were John Burke and George Fuller. Ross may have been the calming influence that allowed the 3 of them to graduate from Central High.

Although intellectually gifted, Ross went straight to work after high school. Public Service of NH recognized him as a hard worker and bought his contract from Manpower when he was just 18. There Ross remained for his entire career, in various capacities, including many years as a lineman. The work was often emergency repairs and included lots of overtime in all weather. Eversource bought out PSNH, and Ross retired from that company in 2022.

In his life, he had several romances of various years duration, but he never married.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, often accompanied by his lifetime friend, Richard Gregoire. He spent much time in the home of Richard and his wife Dawna, and was considered Uncle Ross by their children, Meghan & Joshua.

Ross was quoted as saying he liked dogs better than people (Some of us do.) Canine loves in his life included Kelsey the Golden, the intelligent Lucy and recently, Nova, both German Shepherds.

Ross will be greatly missed by his mother, Louise and his sister, Cynthia, both of Concord. A celebration of his life will be held at Blossom Hill Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, June 27, 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Friends are invited to come and share stories of Ross.
