Roy Frendberg, 78, died July 27th at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was born Oct. 16, 1938 in Waterbury, Conn. the son of the late Rev. Wm. R. Frendberg and Ansie Miller.
He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology. He worked as a metallurgist and later in life in quality control.
He enjoyed skiing, hiking and golfing. He was an avid rail enthusiast and enjoyed spending time at the Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club in Wolfeboro, NH, the Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, ME and the Edaville Railway in Carver, MA. Many friendships were made and treasured. He will be remembered for being kindhearted, caring, thoughtful and always willing to help friends, neighbors and others. "It was a good life!".
Survivors include his sister Pearl Danielson, nephew Jon Danielson, niece Lara Danielson all of Erie, PA. Surviving in addition are Priscilla Hayward of North Easton, MA, Lisa and Bob Douthart and their sons Ryan and Andrew of Bedford, NH, Roland and Sherer Miller and their son Rob of Englewood, FL.
His Erie family wishes to thank his caregivers Priscilla, Lisa and Bob for their love and support as well as the Community Hospice House for their excellent care.
A committal will be held at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton, MA at 11:00 am on Saturday August 12th, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice House of Merrimack, NH.
