Roy Lent, 79, of Keene, NH passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026 at Applewood Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, NH. He was born on November 21, 1946 in Burlington, VT. His parents, Benjamin and June Lent of Keene, previously passed before him.
He grew up in Keene and graduated from Keene High School. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Afterwards he lived in California for a short period and then returned to Keene.
He was a longtime member of Beth-el Bible Church in Surry, NH. He was passionate about his love for Jesus and would regularly study the Bible and sing worship songs in and out of church. He was an intelligent, kind person who often gave of his time to serve and gave a willing hand to help fix anything. He spent most of his career as a truck driver and would speak fondly about his regular customers.
He is survived by his brother, Rod Lent, 3 daughters and their husbands, Natasha (Gary) Wilson, Kassia (Michael) Thomas, and Sarah (Duncan) Urquhart, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 2 nephews, and 1 niece.
His favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31 “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Roy’s memorial service will be Monday, October 12th at 2:00 at Beth-el Bible Church in Surry, NH. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Brattleboro. To view Roy's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
