Ruby E Montambeault

Ruby Elaine Montambeault (Ashby), born on April 7, 1954, of Tilton, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 25, 2025, in Wolfboro, NH.

Ruby grew up in Franklin, NH, where she attended public school. Over the years, Ruby held a variety of jobs. Among the most memorable was her role at the state employment security office. Ruby also worked at The Princess Shop, Webster Valve, and Heritage Haven Wood Heights.

Outside of work, Ruby found joy in nature and simple pleasures. She loved all animals as well as spending time in the woods, hunting or taking long walks. She embraced moments of self-care like getting her nails done or dressing up for a night of dancing. Above all else, Ruby cherished time spent with family and friends. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always put others needs before her own.

Ruby was predeceased by her mother Phyllis Wilkins, father Harold Dinsmore, and sisters Mary Brown and Rosemary Davis. She is remembered by her sisters Sharron Moses(Bruce) and Sandra Briggs; Children Michele Orr and Joseph Montambeault (Tammy); Grandchildren Cody & Kelsey Montambeault, Mariah, Trevor & Tyler Moran; Great-grandchildren Brayden & Ryker Mudge; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Tilton/Northfield Fire Department, Franklin VNA, Encompass Health and Wolfeboro Bay Nursing Facility for the tremendous care they provided Ruby.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or animal shelter of your choice in memory of Ruby Montambeault.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Franklin VFW, 26 Peabody Place, on Friday January 2, 2026 from 4-6PM. A family burial will be held in the spring.
