Ruth MacInnis passed away on December 5, 2015 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Ruth was born in Portsmouth, NH August 10, 1952 to Michael and Claire MacInnis Sr. and lived most of her life in Concord, NH. Ruth lived and worked a few years in Florida but returned to NH in 1979 to assist in caring for her ill mother.
Retired from the State of New Hampshire in 2014 after a very long career which encompassed working for several different state agencies, the last being Employment Security.
Ruth was a very accomplished quilter and a talented crafter. Her logo was "2smile4" because that's what she did while she did her artwork.
Ruth leaves behind her step-mother, Beverly MacInnis; sister, Mary MacInnis Chin and her husband, George; sister, Katherine Corbin and her husband, Paul; brother, Michael MacInnis Jr. and his wife, Dorothy; sister, Nancy Haynes and her husband, Robert. Ruth loved being an aunt and leaves behind the following nieces and nephews: Jen MacInnis Conroy, Michael MacInnis III, Heather Haynes Comora, Krystal Haynes Sorrell, Claire Chin, Gabriel Chin, Kristin Corbin Becker, Debbie Tabor, Susan James, Anne Marie Ferranni, Mary Corbin, and Jackie Corbin. Ruth also leaves behind many cousins and numerous great nieces and nephews.
It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to Ruth.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, December 10th 10:00-11:00am at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A memorial service will begin and 11:00 in the Cremation Society chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street in Concord. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Operation Santa Claus through the State Employees' Association of New Hampshire, 207 N.
