Ruth Serafin

Ruth Serafin passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family in Manchester, New Hampshire, on July, 5, 2021; formerly of Bridgeton, NJ, Marlboro, NJ and Colts Neck NJ. Age 96.

Beloved wife of the late Michael Serafin, who passed away April 4, 1988. Devoted mother of Mark and Liz Serafin, Minneapolis, MN, Diane and Frank LoPresti, Rumson, NJ, and Michael and Maryann Serafin, Manchester, NH. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born Ruth Walegir in Brooklyn, NY on October 1, 1924. She was a Christian woman who practiced her faith by living an exceptionally giving life. She received her nursing degree and spent many years practicing her craft and enjoying varied nursing experiences, one of which was a church mission to Russia where she taught medical students.

We will be forever grateful for the people she inspired us to be: always working hard, always looking forward, treasuring the peaceful moments and offering a helping hand wherever and whenever needed. She was a lady of great integrity, positivity, humility and grace. She was known for her terrific sense of humor, a good listening ear, always a smile, and a twinkle in her eye. We love her dearly and she will be sorely missed.

Ruth will be cremated and her ashes interred at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold, NJ.
