S Giridhar

Giridhar S, age 54, from Granby, Massachusetts passed away on 27^th May 2022. Giridhar S was born on 4^th of Feb 1968 in Mannargudi, a small village in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.  He spent most of his childhood and youth in the city of Calcutta(Kolkata) in Eastern India. He completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Bachelors in Anthropology. Straying away from his field of study as an engineer / Anthropologist , he found a passion, towards the art of culinary and completed a Hotel management degree.

Giridhar was a focused hotelier and Executive Chef with over 25 years of experience in Luxury Business hotels, Cruise Lines, Airline Catering, Michelin star kitchens as well as restaurant consulting. He was people focused and built lasting relationships along the way. A very intelligent, studious, and passionate about what he believed in, he created many friendships along the way and worked in many places from India, England, to France, and to America. Giridhar S was a fun loving person who would create lavish feasts just to make sure you weren't hungry. He would worry about others before himself, taking care of others' needs before his. He was knowledge in fields some of us didn't even know. He would spend hours and days researching on any topic. He was a humble and compassionate person.

Even though in 2015, he was diagnosed with cancer, that did not stop him from smiling or making jokes, he would still party and laugh. He was later diagnosed with kidney failure but that again did not stop him from having fun with his friends and family.

Giridhar was predeceased by both of his Parents in 2005 and 2007. Girdhar is survived by his spouse Ingita Thapa Giridhar and his son Junoon Garv Giridhar.

Giridhar will be cremated on May 29^th 2022 at 2 pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH -03104.

He once said ¨Laugh, and laugh with the world, when you cry, you cry alone¨. He knew his day was coming and had expressed that, on the day of his cremation he wanted everyone to celebrate and party and did not want anyone to be sad.
