Sally Ann Ridge, RN, 75, formerly of Manchester, NH died on Sunday April 29th after a long illness. Sally Ann was a graduate of Manchester Central High School. An athlete, Sally Ann was a member of the women's basketball team, coach of the volleyball team, won first place ribbons in high jumping and was awarded a medal in marksmanship from the rifle club. Civic minded, Sally Ann was a Girl Scout and was a Rainbow Girl of the Masonic Order. Since the age of 7, it was Sally Ann's dream to be a Registered Nurse. She was a graduate of the Elliot Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1953. Sally Ann will be fondly remembered as an independent and spirited woman. Sally Ann is predeceased by her parents, Pearl and John F. Ridge. Besides her two children, Gary Lindner and Lee Ann Judy, RN, C, OCN, she leaves her aunt, Helen Rainville of Manchester, her siblings, Gordon and Claire Ridge of Manchester, Dr. John and Joy Ridge of New York, Dr's. David and Bonnie Ridge of Keene as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. At this time, the family would like to gratefully acknowledge the outstanding care provided by the all of the staff members of the Merrimac County Nursing Home where Sally Ann was a resident for many years.
