Salvi Joseph Rizzo, 81, of Concord, died Friday, July 6, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Wright) Rizzo who died August 1, 2011.
He was a longtime resident of New Hampshire, born December 25, 1930, in Boston, MA son of the late Vito and Grace (DeVingo) Rizzo.
Mr. Rizzo served in the National Guard for over 35 years, before retiring as a Master Sergeant.
He worked at FEMA with the State of New Hampshire for 8 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Temple of Memphis, Tenn. and Julie Rizzo of Urbana, Ill.; three grandchildren: Justin, Jaime and Jenna Temple; two great grandchildren: Myles and Presly Temple. He also leaves his two sisters, Lucy Harrison and Josephine 'Jo' Catalino, a sister in-law: Peggy Griffith, many nieces, nephews and a long time caregiver and family friend, LouAnn LaCourse.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 10th, at 10:30 a.m. in the Calvary Cemetery, North State Street, Concord.
