Sandra Hampe, 71, of Manchester, NH died Friday June 27, 2008 at her residence.
She was born June 30, 1937 in Cambridge, MA and was a high school graduate. She moved from Cambridge to Newton, MA where she raised her family. She moved to Suncook, NH and later to Manchester.
She worked for Suncook Woven Label Co. in the stitchery, making clothing labels. Later she worked for the Manchester VA Hospital as a switchboard operator. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Woman’s Auxiliary, and several other Social Clubs. She was known for her sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She loved playing cribbage and had an enthusiasm for crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her 7 children Sharon E Hunt, Fritz A Hampe Jr., Kevin L Hampe, Carol L. Coleman, Lisa M. Scarpino, Linda B. Colford, Gail A. Hampe; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial gathering with service to follow will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Home 243 Hanover St. Manchester, on Tuesday July 1, 2008 starting at 6pm.
