Sandra K. Starkey, 80, of Webster, passed away on September 15, 2021 with her family by her side. She is the loving wife of John Starkey and together, they shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Concord to Raymond and Edna (Drew) Kimball on January 1, 1941. She was a graduate of Hopkinton High School class of 1958. She worked for the Hopkinton Middle/High School as a Librarian Assistant for 25 years and has been a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Webster, serving on many committees and faithfully singing in the choir. She also volunteered at the Webster Library, Webster Old Home Day Committee, served on many town committees and was a member of The Webster Women’s Union.

She enjoyed golfing with her husband and many friends and was a long-time member of Duston Country Club. In her youth, she loved participating in the 4H club and girl scouts.
She was very artistic and enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, knitting and spent many fun evenings with the “sewing girls”. She was an avid reader and loved music and gardening. Her kindness and love for others will be missed by all who knew her.

Sandy leaves behind her devoted husband, John S. Starkey, daughters; Kim Arnold and husband Steve of Webster, Kelly Clark and husband Bryan of Dunbarton, Kathy Schaefer of Hopkinton, and Kristen DiCicco and husband Joe of Webster, grandchildren; Ricky, Jessamyn, Christopher, Meghan, JJ, Danielle, Matt, Nick, Alex, 10 great grandchildren; Kyleigh, Dreesen, Griffin, Derek, Brooke, Calvin, River, Brydan, Logan, and Presley, all of whom lovingly called her “Nanny”, siblings; Joanne Chaisson of Concord, Ray Kimball of Webster, Dan Kimball of Webster, and Patricia Duncklee of Epsom and a sister-in-law, Sally French of Henniker.

She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Richard J. Schaefer and grandson, Joshua C. Schaefer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25th at 2pm at the First Congregational Church of Webster, 1011 Long Street in Webster. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Sandra’s memory be made to the First Congregational Church of Webster, 1011 Long Street, Webster, NH 03303.
