Sarah & Philip Gehring Hillsborough, NH Sarah Nicole Gehring, age 14 and Philip Palacios Gehring, age 11 died in July of 2003. Sarah was born on August 16, 1988 in Falls Church, VA. Philip was born on September 19, 1991 in Concord, NH. At the time of their deaths, Sarah had just completed her freshman year at Concord High School and Philip had just completed sixth grade at Hillsborough-Deering Middle School. Philip and Sarah are missed by their Mother Teri Knight, their Step-Father Jim, and will especially be missed by their Sisters; Molly and Mallory Knight. Sarah and Philip are also survived by their maternal Grandfather, Edward Senecal of St. Johnsbury, VT. Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins also survive them. Both Sarah and Philip had a beautiful network of friends who will continue to miss what they would have brought to their lives. Gifts they gave to us: Sarah had a grace and beauty that will be remembered by all who knew her, but most importantly, she had a caring heart for those less fortunate than her. Philip gave us a gift of humor and joy that cannot be surpassed. He was just blossoming into a young man, and we who knew him could sense that he was going to offer the world something special. Sarah loved cheerleading, her friends and The Red Sox. Philip had a passion for video games, and writing creative and funny stories. What have we missed in 2 ½ years? For Sarah: Learning to drive, cheering and cheering competitions, senior year, college decisions and growing up to be a beautiful young woman. For Philip: theater roles, more stories and books, the changing of a young boy into a teenager. Friends and family of Philip and Sarah are invited to funeral services which will be held on Sunday December 11th at 1:30 PM at Smith Memorial Congregational Church 30 West Main Street Hillsborough, NH 03244. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Sarah and Philip Gehring Memorial Fund P.O. Box 1805 Hillsborough, NH 03244 (A non-profit organization to support the activities of youth in theater, cheerleading, as well as scholarships for graduating high school seniors) The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of the arrangements.
