Scott Allan MacInnis age 54, of Portsmouth, NH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 16, 2026.
Scott was born September 16, 1971 at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Mass to Daniel T. MacInnis and Nancy J. Patterson (Sliger).
Scott grew up in Massachusetts in the Billerica & Wilmington area before moving to Portsmouth with his mother and stepfather in November of 1993.
Scott was a long-time fan of game shows, especially The Price is Right. He loved bowling and enjoyed going to play as well as watching it on TV. He loved to watch Mickey Mouse, Scooby-Doo, Sesame Street, and Fred Flintstone and also collect paraphernalia of his favorite characters. He was an avid John Denver fan and wore out numerous copies of Country Roads.
Scott is survived by his mother, Nancy Patterson; his father & stepmother, Daniel & Karen MacInnis; his sisters, Melissa Powers and her husband Bill, Terri Godfrey and her partner Bob Mendonsa; and his brother, Chris Godfrey; his nieces and nephews, Sheamus Powers and his partner Rebecca O’Donnell, Liliann Powers, Liam Powers, Stephen Godfrey, Kyleigh Godfrey and CJ Godfrey; his well-loved aunts & uncles, Patty, Polly, Michael & John Sliger, Bruce & Karen MacInnis, Jim & Jayne MacInnis, Kathy MacInnis & Rick Ginsburg, Lorraine & Scott Ronan, Sue & John Havens, Cindy & Kevin Ronan, Glenis & Don Cordeiro, and Carol & Dave Ronan as well as numerous cousins.
He is predeceased by his stepfather, James “Bucky” Patterson; his grandparents, Grace Sliger and Earl Sliger, Ronald “Ringy” & Isabel MacInnis, and Bernie & Alice Ronan; his uncle, Russell “Rusty” Sliger; and his aunt & uncle, Ronnie & June MacInnis.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Beacon Hospice, especially Karyn & Kellie, for helping us through this difficult time. Please know your dedication and support meant so much to us in this difficult time.
