Shawn Lee LaFave

Shawn Lee LaFave, 62, of Jaffrey passed away unexpectedly at home on December 22, 2024. Shawn was born in Plattsburgh, NY on August 24, 1962, the son of Kenneth LaFave & Francine (Frances Walker) LaFave.

Early in life Shawn exhibited evidence of developmental challenges that required him to need full-time care throughout his entire life. During his early years, he was placed in a variety of care facilities to provide the best care available. As He progressed through adulthood, he was fortunate enough to be blessed with a handful of caregivers that were able to offer him a chance to enjoy the quality of life he deserved. Notably, Linda Wilbur of Surry, NH & most recently Pat & Lynn Rowe of Jaffrey, NH. While most of his life, he shared homes with other disabled roommates, he was afforded the opportunity to spend his last few years with Pat & Lynn alone, which gifted him with the chance to be their primary focus. The Rowes welcomed Shawn as family and gave him love and a life that could only be dreamt of.

Shawn worked for several years delivering newspapers for the Keene Sentinel which gave him much joy and purpose.

Shawn is predeceased by his mother, Francine LaFave. He is survived by his father, Kenneth LaFave of Champlain, NY and brothers, Steven LaFave (Teryn Moy) of Auburn, NH and Shannon LaFave (Dawn LaFave) of Keene, NH along with many nieces and nephews.
