Sheryl Lee Bishop, 64, passed away at home on Sept. 11, 2021, after a long illness, with her family by her side.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1957 in Westfield, MA, the daughter of the late George Bishop, Jr. and Allice (Hanscom) Anderson.
In 1978 Sheryl graduated from the American School for the Deaf where she excelled at athletics.
She worked for Digital Corporation in NH and MA for many years, and then later, for Shaw’s Supermarkets in both NH and ME for 20 years, as well as, for Hannaford Supermarket in Waldoboro, ME. She was well known and loved by her co-workers for her smile and sense of humor.
As a member of Graceway Christian Fellowship in Maine, she joyfully sang/signed worship songs and dearly loved her church community who loved her deeply in return.
A lover of history and an avid genealogist, she recorded her family’s cherished legacy throughout nearly 20 years of research. Crafting was another talent of hers, and she enjoyed preserving memories through scrapbooking, sewing, and embroidery, often gifting her handiwork to family and friends. She also had a skill for fixing things and found satisfaction in repairing items.
Sheryl had many animals throughout her life and was very devoted to them. She leaves behind 2 beloved cats, Annie and Bear.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Michael Bishop and Karen (Bishop) Hampton.
She is survived by her daughter, Katrina Rosa and son-in-law, Cesar Queiroz of Greenfield, NH; her son, Jonah Rosa of Hopkinton, NH; 6 beloved grandchildren; her mother, Allice (Hanscom) Anderson; her brothers, Dennis Bishop and Joel Healey; her sister, Kelly Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
A memorial service in honor of Sheryl’s life will be held on Sat., Oct. 2, 2021 from 1pm to 4pm at 77 South Bennington Rd., Bennington, NH, 03442 at the private residence of Manny Rosa.
