Shirley M. Barton

SHIRLEY (MAGNUSON) BARTON Shirley (Magnuson) Barton, 89, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on August 14, 2007. In her life, she was a dedicated Foster Mother, having been recognized for 35 years of service to the foster program. She was a graduate of Hesser College in Manchester, New Hampshire. She is survived by her son, Lance and his wife, Sandie, of Northwood, New Hampshire. Shirley also leaves two sisters, Lorraine Kelleher of Aurora, Colorado, and Linola Tetreault of Manchester, New Hampshire, two grandchildren, Susan Hebert and her husband, Armand, of Candia, and Peter Barton and his wife Connie, of Manchester; two great-grandchildren, Melanie Hebert and Benjamin Barton, and step-grandchildren Corinne Dowst, Robert Papciak and Christopher Belanger; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was an avid bread maker and shared her creations with many various friends and family. She also enjoyed attending the senior lunches through the Lamprey Health Care’s Senior Transportation Program and socializing with her friends. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lamprey Health Care Senior Transportation Program of Newmarket and Meals on Wheels in Brentwood, New Hampshire. There will be no calling hours. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is taking care of the arrangements.
