Shirley Jean (Bournival) Hagan, 68, peacefully entered heaven's gates to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 7, 2018 while at the Jack Byrne Center, in Lebanon, NH following a sudden illness. Shirley was a recent breast cancer survivor. She had an unwavering Christian faith which showed through her kind and gentle spirit, devotion to her husband, Dan, and her loving family.
Born in Manchester, NH on November 30, 1950, Shirley is the daughter of the late Maurice A and Cecilia (Manning) Bournival. Raised and educated in Manchester, she most recently resided in Weare, NH with her husband and kitty, Paws. Shirley grew up in a large, loving family with four brothers who never ceased to drive her crazy but with whom she always remained very close.
After graduating from Memorial High School in Manchester, NH she worked for Moore Business Forms for many years. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Shirley looked forward to spending time in her new home. She adored her grandchildren, loved healthy cooking, looked forward to growing her own herb garden and creating beautiful hand-made quilts.
In addition to her husband, Shirley leaves behind her mother, Cecilia Lajoie of Bedford, her son, Jesse Williams and wife Andrea, of New Boston; her daughter, Alana (Bernier) Chevrette and husband Matt of Hudson; grandchildren, Ely, Paxton, Isaac, Aila, Madalyn, and Alivia; brothers, Kenneth Bournival and wife Patricia of Largo, FL, Kevin Bournival and wife Theresa of Manchester, Russell Bournival and wife Michelle of Manchester and Sister-in-law, Rose Bournival of Allenstown as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Gary Bournival.
SERVICES: A gathering will be held at 10:30 am followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Mammoth Road, Hooksett, NH on Friday, December 14, 2018. Contributions to defray funeral expenses will be accepted at the church entrance.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the wonderful staff at Dartmouth Hitchcock and Jack Byrnes Center who attended Shirley and supported the family since her arrival on November 19th. Shirley will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is assisting the family with arrangements.
