Shirley Mudgett

OSSIPEE- Shirley Germaine (Fanjoy) Mudgett, 83 passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31, 2024. Shirley was born August 24, 1941 in Portsmouth, NH, daughter of the late Russell Fanjoy Sr. and Germaine (Croteau) Fanjoy. She was a lifetime resident of New Hampshire. 

Shirley held a variety of positions from working in food service in Portsmouth, and the Portsmouth Shoe Factory. Shirley helped run a healthcare business with her late husband Stanley, where she provided love, care & support to those with physical and mental impairments, in Nottingham. She worked in Northern NH at Andy and Sally’s Variety in Gorham and The Christmas Farm Inn in Jackson, as well at Family Dollar in Goffstown, and provided in home care to the elderly.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. She especially like going to family camps, casinos, crafting, playing Bingo, Cribbage, Skip-Bo and a home-made game called “Balls”. Shirley was a dedicated, loving and caring family woman. She will be forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten.

Shirley was preceded in death by her Former husband Stanley R. Mudgett Sr. in 2014, two granddaughters Carolyn Wright in 1983 and Christina Wright in 1984. Her companion for many years Paul R.V. Lombardo in 2018 and sister Sally Delisle in 2020.

Shirley leaves behind Sister Nancy Page of Maine, Brothers Russell Fanjoy Jr. of Maine, Kenneth Fanjoy Sr. of New Durham, son Stanley R. Mudgett Jr. and his wife of Nottingham; daughter Deborah G. (Mudgett) Wright and husband of Ossipee. Grandchildren Kenneth Mudgett of Nottingham; Elizabeth Wright-Cray of Ossipee; James Mudgett of Florida; Robert Wright III of Ossipee; Frank Mudgett of Nottingham; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: There are no calling hours. Shirley will be buried at a later date at the Southside Cemetery in Nottingham. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Hampton.
