Sidney A. Huntington, 79, of Bennington died February 10, 2003 at Pheasantwood Harborside Health Care in Peterborough following a lengthy illness. Mr. Huntington was born on June 10, 1923 in Antrim, NH the son of the late Rodney and Hattie (Rockwell) Huntington. He was a U S Army Veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of the Calvin Brown VFW Post 8268 in Bennington. He was a stone mason in the Bennington area and then worked as road agent for the Town of Bennington for 18 years, finally retiring in 1988. Mr. Huntington was a member of the Bennington Congregational Church. Family members include; his wife of 55 years, Nada (Rollins) Huntington; one daughter, Mrs. Dana (Deborah) Lawrence of West Deering, NH; one grandson Cory Lawrence and one great grandson, Alex Lawrence; two sisters, Ellen Nichols of Weare and Marion Moulton of Antrim; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Antrim Rescue Squad, Antrim, NH 03440.
