Simone (Payment) Desrochers, 84, died July 29, 2024 at Holy Cross Health Center with her family by her side.
Born in Manchester on March 10, 1940 she was the daughter of Lucien & Lydia (Marquis) Payment. Simone was a graduate of St. Anthony High School.
She was a stay-at-home mom while raising her children. Eventually she went into the workforce as a secretary for various businesses. Fulfilling a dream since she loved the warm weather, she moved to Florida for 22 wonderful years. In 2008 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and in 2012 moved back to NH to be with family. In 2020, she was welcomed as a resident of Holy Cross Health Center.
Throughout her life, Simone loved spending time at the beach, listening to music and country line dancing.
Simone is predeceased by her sister, Sister Julie Payment, CSC and her grandson Sean MacDonald.
Simone is survived by her 4 children, Kathy MacDonald (Ray), Ray Desrochers, Donnie Desrochers (Chris), and Cookie (Diane) Hebert (Dan), 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandsons. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.
All services are Monday, August 5th in the chapel at the Sisters of Holy Cross, 357 Island Pond Rd, Manchester, NH. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Simone’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Health Center, 357 Island Pond Rd, Manchester, NH 03109.
