Slavica Savage

Slavica N. Savage, 70, of Newbury, NH passed away in her home on November 25, 2017, after a long illness. She was born in the village of Smilovci in southern Serbia, the daughter of Cvetana and Miladin Najdanov. Slavica was raised and educated in Serbia, before she came to the United States in 1968 as a member of a Yugoslavian folk dancing ensemble. She stayed behind to learn English and married in 1970.

Slavica was a woman of diverse talents. She designed and created elaborate swag window treatments. She also did professional quality re upholstery work. Her backyard garden included more than four hundred pepper plants as well as hydrangeas and beautiful roses.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Savage of Newbury; and several cousins in Germany and Serbia. Slavica will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be no memorial service and the burial will be private in the spring.
