Stanley 'Amos' Richmond, 71, of 122 Holman Hill Road, Spofford, NH died on April 23, 2000 at his home after short illness. Mr. Richmond was born on December 31, 1928 in Tumbridge, VT the son of the late Harry F. and Hyla (Knight) Richmond. He was a forklift operator for McMillian Construction in Keene, NH for 32 years. He was a US Navy Veteran who served in Korea. Mr. Richmond was a volunteer for People Helping People, was an avid fisherman and hunter and proud farmer. Family members include; his wife of 49 years, Arlene (Buckley) Richmond; two sons, Stanley A. Richmond of Spofford, NH and Russell Richmond of Keene, NH; two daughters, Hyla Smith of East Swanzey and Barbara Doyle of Spofford, NH; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Dick Richmond of Keene, NH; two sisters, Bernadine Garrapy of Springfield, VT and Eloise Besaw of Alstead, NH. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard Richmond and William Richmond and one sister, Wilma Bushy. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2000 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chesterfield Town Hall. Burial will be private at a later date.
