At 7:30 on July 31, 2023, Stefan Murrah passed into eternity after a lengthy illness. Jenna, his wife of 20 years, was by his side and he was surrounded by light and love, leaving this world with dignity and on his terms. He truly was a warrior right to the end.
Stefan grew up in Monroe Connecticut and graduated from Masuk High School in 1987 and from UCONN in 1993. He and Jenna have lived in Milford, New Hampshire since 2000 and when not golfing, riding his motorcycle, or watching the Cowboys, the Yankees, or episodes of shark week, Stef, can be found either listening to one of his 3000 CDs or rocking with his fellow metal heads at a live concert. Yes, the man loved every aspect of music and was always posting concert and backstage photos from dizzying arrays of bands. Where most people need oxygen to live, Stef needed the music – and oxygen – but mostly music. In addition to Jenna, Stefan is survived by his son Joey (Stacey) Neiter, Brandon (Bernadette) Benzenhafer and Josh Benzenhafer, parents Clint and Pat Murrah, brother Brett (Andrea ) Murrah, nephew Kyle Murrah, nieces Kaylan and Casey Murrah and four grandchildren. Trevor Neiter, Skylar Neiter, Ryan Jade Neiter and Archer Benzenhafer.
A quote from Stefan‘s Facebook page reads “I am, I’m me” and that really says it all – a wonderful soul and amazing friend to those who knew him best. He will be missed, but as long as the music‘s playing, Stef will be front row center with a giant smile on his face. Please post a tribute on this website for the family; Share a happy memory of Stefan! After 10 days, all videos will be collected and everyone that posted will get a link to see all of the tribute videos!
In lieu of floral arrangements, please make a donation to the charity closest to Stefan’s heart; St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolence, or for more information please visit https://csnh.com/.
