Stella V. Thibeault, 89 passed away on Saturday,May 19, 2012 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH, after a period of failing health.
Born June 2, 1922 in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Minot and Mae (Buswell) Secord. She was raised and educated in both Lowell and Chelmsford, MA and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1939.
Stella married James F. Thibeault of Lowell, Ma on August 30, 1942 at St. Johns the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford Ma. They lived and raised their family in Westford Ma.
Stella worked at Honeywell Information Systems in Lowell and also Lawrence Ma, then later for Data Instruments in Acton Ma.
After her retirement she volunteered for many organizations including: The Senior Center of Westford Ma, The League of the Blind in Lowell Ma, Ashuelot Counseling Services of Winchester NH, Weeks Memorial Hospital of Lancaster NH and The Red Cross of Ft Pierce FL.
She was a member of the Golden Ages of Westford Ma, the Chelmsford High School Alumni Association and the American Legion Auxillary of Tyngsboro Ma.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with many of her dear friends and also wintered in Ft Pierce, FL for a few years.
The past 15 years she has resided in the Keene area, enjoying the company of her siblings and family members, all very dear to her.
She is survived by her 4 children, Carol Doyon and her husband Dona of Strafford NH, James Thibeault and his wife Karen of Malden, W.VA, Marilyn Lyons and her husband Barry of Rindge NH and David Thibeault and his wife Susan of Brookline, NH.
She leaves 11 grandchildren who always appreciated their fun times with their "Nana/Nans"; Scott Doyon, Christopher Doyon, Jennifer Carberry, Kate Buckovitch, David Thibeault Jr, Kimberly Consoli, Dana Thibeault, Benjamin Lyons, Corey Lyons, Barry Lyons Jr & Joseph Lyons. She also leaves behind 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Patrice Bouchie of Winchester NH and two brothers, Richard Secord and his wife Norma of Winchester NH and Harold Secord and his wife, Linda, of Winchester NH. Sister in law,Rita Kirikakos of Lowell Ma and Anna Kinney of Chelmsford Ma, and also many dear friends.
She is predeceased by her parents and husband James F Thibeault, sister, Barbara Warren, brothers, Gilbert and Donald Secord, sister Charlotte Secord, and great granddaughter Jamie Marie Doyon.
A memorial mass will be held at St Johns the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford, MA on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am. A private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westford MA.
